5 Minute Learning Activities
1. Counting to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s.
2. Recognizing numbers 1-100.
3. Counting backwards from 20-0.
4. Spy games with shapes.
5. Play a guessing game. You blend out words and have your child guess the word (ex: /c/ /a/ /t/…cat).
6. Write high-frequency words on flashcards and practice reading, spelling, and writing these words.
7. Play a rhyming game by verbally calling out a word and having your child name words that rhyme.
8. Recognizing letters and identifying their sounds.
9. Read a story to your child and have him/her re-tell you the story in order using character names and details.
10. Writing first and last name.

-Please make sure to label all sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, scarves, gloves, and jackets!!!!!
-Have your child practice zipping coats/jackets and putting gloves/mittens on!!
-Have your child practice tying shoes!
-The first school day of each month is Anti-Bullying Day. Students can wear their red Anti-Bullying t-shirt with their school uniform.
-The first Friday of each month the school will be collecting a food/toiletry item for the poor. This is called the First Friday Food Pantry, or F.F.F.P.
